Karin’s Festive Foods

This Bakery is owned and operated by Karin and Paul Durand.

Karin, a native from a small island in Denmark, met Paul, who was from a large city in Germany. After they married, they moved to Paul’s home country, where Karin started working in a small Bakery.

After moving to Canada, the love of good food, the way they had grown to love it, led them to open Karin’s Bakery Goods in 1992. It was a wholesale bakery to begin with.  

After many requests to sell their delicious goods to the general public, they decided to open a retail bakery. So in March of 2000 they opened their doors in Sherwood Park at the location where they are today.

The bakery offers a variety of European pastries, tortes and desserts. They do not offer general baking. As you may have guessed, most of the desserts are from a Scandinavian or German background.

If you love to try something new perhaps, then this specialty bakery is worth a try. You’ll only be sorry you didn’t try it sooner.
